Yawo is a credit facilitating platform that provides working capital credit to small and medium sized businesses in Africa’s rural communities.
Yawo tech is built by First Frontier Tech Incorporation builders of Ikonik.
First Frontier Tech is a limited liability company with a micro lending license.
Yawo provides lending to small businesses leveraging on the mobile money network of Ikonik.
Minimum loan given to small businesses is N10,000 ($25) and maximum loan is N150,000 ($350).
Maximum annual percentage rate (APR) is 30%.
For example, if a customer gets a N25,000 loan, they pay back N26,150.
Customers are also advised to maintain a savings deposit with Yawo as that increases their creditworthiness with the company.
